Autumn in The Great Bear Rainforest
October is a season of quiet abundance and dramatic beauty in the Great Bear Rainforest. As the forest settles into autumn, moss-draped canopies, flowing rivers, and fall foliage create a richly textured landscape of golds, deep greens, and mist-softened mountains.
Bears continue to feed throughout the forest in preparation for winter, offering unhurried viewing and exceptional opportunities for thoughtful observation. Their movements are more localized and predictable, creating excellent conditions for both wildlife and landscape photography.
This is also the season of our guided photography workshops, led by professional photographers who help guests refine their craft while capturing the rainforest at its most atmospheric. Cooler temperatures and more frequent rainfall enhance the mood of the landscape, creating a deeply immersive and creatively inspiring wilderness experience.
