Wow, what a great start to the grizzly bear viewing season!! Our brand new Wildlife & Grizzly Bear Viewing Stand has been providing our guests with an ideal, and safe, place to observe some of the Valley's most impressive predators. Guests have already been seeing sows, cubs, eagles, salmon....and wolves!
Guests Trish and Ray from Kelowna stayed with us last week. They really wanted to see bears, so in the early mornings they wandered down to the Viewing Stand, which is surrounded by a subtle electrical fence for the safety of humans and bears! One morning, to their surprise, they spotted a wolf hunting and catching salmon (see photo below). Later in the afternoon they returned to the Stand.....and witnessed something truly amazing: there was now a female grizzly bear with her 2 cubs catching fish...........then the wolf came back!! Wow, what an amazing experience!
