Visit the massive Monarch Ice Cap, swim in a glacial lake, visit the Turner Lakes chain and experience the dramatic Hunlen Falls  the third highest waterfall in Canada. The Hunlen Falls, at the northern end of Turner Lakes chain, are an outstanding sight. The water plunges down from a height of 260 metres or 853 feet. Or you can simply enjoy a scrumptious lunch, in the alpine, amongst some of the most impacting mountains in the world.

We depart from the Bella Coola airport and fly over the Bella Coola valley to Tweedsmuir Park Lodge to pick up our guests. From the lodge the helicopter will fly part of the unique Rainbow Range area before proceeding to the spectacular Hunlen Falls. From the falls we follow the Turner Lake chain to the Talchako Glacier, and then on to the Jacobson Glacier where guests may see small icebergs floating in the adjacent lake. A landing in this location is possible if time permits.

From Ape Lake we will proceed towards the Tweedsmuir Park Lodge to view the summit of Mt. Stupendous. If conditions are favourable and the helicopter load permits, a landing may be made at 9,000 feet. The views from Mt. Stupendous are, well.....'stupendous', and not for the faint of heart. This is an exceptional trip and well worth the time and cost.

The helicopter will take a maximum of six guests. A guide is not needed or included in the helicopter sightseeing.

Note:: If a guide is requested then the additional cost is $350 plus taxes.

Our helicopter sightseeing adventures are based on an hourly rate of $2600 per hour plus taxes, regardless of destination.

Guests can choose to be transported to and from the Tweesmuir Park Lodge, or from the airport. Keep in mind that the flight from the airport, return, is 15 minutes. This will be included in the flight time and charged as part of the hourly rate even if you are not onboard yet.

A shuttle service for lodge guests to the hangar, and for helicopter sightseeing tours is included.

We strongly recommend you start and end your sightseeing adventures at the airport hangar so that you may also enjoy a panoramic flight up the Bella Coola Valley.
