Fixed Wing and Float Plane Adventures

Canada, and the wilderness of British Columbia, is well known for small aircraft, and legendary bush pilots. Much of this country was explored and developed by air services, and still are today. Encounter a taste of this British Columbia history by taking in an excursion to view the wilderness from a pilot’s point of view.

All flights start and end at the Bella Coola airport. Shuttle service to the airport is included for Tweedsmuir Park Lodge guests.

We offer two flightseeing adventures that will deliver you into the heart of this unspoiled, wilderness region.

Fixed Wing Tour::
During this one hour flight you will observe the panorama of the Bella Coola valley. Admire the views of Tweedsmuir Provincial Park and the Rainbow Mountains. Then you will ascend over the magnificent Hunlen Falls and Monarch Ice Cap, both dramatic in their own right. On return to base, the flight will follow rugged mountains and deep coastal valleys.

$490 plus tax (price is based on each aircraft load with a maximum of three passengers)

Floatplane Excursion Including Lake Landing::
This flightseeing adventure offers another perspective as you fly over the village of Bella Coola and the harbour. You will soar over the Fjord and elevate up a rugged coastal valley. At the end of the valley is, the glaciated and high altitude, Goat Lake. After landing on this picturesque, emerald-hued lake, you will enjoy a short stop to take in the magnificence of Goat Lake's setting.

$380 plus tax (price is based on each aircraft load with two or three passengers and a maximum weight of 450 lbs or 205 kg)

**Important note:: Both flightseeing excursions are weather dependent. The floatplane tour is especially weather dependent due to high altitude landings.
