In Bella Coola, the Coast Range meets the Pacific Ocean and creates one of the most spectacular, yet isolated, wilderness areas on the planet. Long fjords, old growth forests, stunning peaks, and vast glaciers combine with abundant wildlife. This is home to countless salmon, bald eagles and grizzly bears, totemic animals of the coastal native peoples. It is the centre of a uniquely, varied and unspoiled expanse of wilderness know as the Great Bear Rainforest.
